History of Slough Spiritual Church.

Slough Church has been in the town of Slough since before 1938,
founded by R. Allen, C. Grant and R.B. Chrippes.

Our church has had to be moved around Slough, it was in the old Co-op hall, the Red Cross hall, 3 different places in Baylis House, until we were offered the old building in the grounds of Baylis House. It was basically just a roof and four walls. Mr F. Hoskins, K. Iles and D. Hall, took it on with help from members of the church to make it a welcoming place for the public to come into for services.

The church was there from 1980 until we had to close in 2000, because the lease ran out. The church was closed for a period of time until we built the new one, which was opened by Fiona Mactaggart, from Slough Borough Council.

It has taken a lot of work from the Committee of the church and the help from the church members.

Our doors are always open to the public and you are all welcome.

Bless you all.
